Connectors

Microsoft Outlook

Connect Microsoft Outlook so Dvina can read your work mail and calendar, prepare replies and plans, and act only with your approval.

Connect Microsoft Outlook to let Dvina work from your business mail and calendar. Dvina can answer questions about your messages and meetings, notice what changes and help you keep email work moving.

What Dvina can do

With your mail

  • Find and read your messages and answer questions about them.
  • Summarize what came in, like "Summarize today's Microsoft Outlook" or "What needs me in Microsoft Outlook?"
  • Draft replies and follow-ups for you to review.
  • Send email and organize your folders, after you approve it.
  • Tell you when something new matters, with one short card instead of a pile of notifications.

When you add a saved email to your Library, as an .eml or .msg file, each of its attachments, like a PDF or a spreadsheet, becomes a document of its own in the same folder. Dvina reads them like any file you add, so you can find them and ask about them. Images inside the email, like a logo in a signature, are left out.

With your calendar

  • Read your calendar and answer questions about your meetings.
  • Help you plan meetings and keep your schedule organized.

Because Dvina sees your mail, your calendar and your chats together, it can connect them, like an email that just arrived and the meeting it's about.

Permissions

Dvina reads Microsoft Outlook freely, so it can answer and prepare work. Anything that changes something waits for you:

  • Reading: Searching and reading your messages and events runs without asking.
  • Writing: Creating or changing something, like a draft, a folder or an event, shows an approval card first. You choose Allow or Reject.
  • Sending and deleting: Sending an email to someone and deleting for good ask every time. Their card says so, for example Sends, asks every time, and doesn't offer Always allow.

If you connected more than one Outlook account, the approval card shows which one Dvina uses, for example From: and the account.

Important

Nothing goes to another person or is deleted for good until you choose Allow.

How to connect

  1. Open Settings and choose Apps.
  2. Choose Browse Apps…, then find Microsoft Outlook.
  3. Choose Connect.
  4. Sign in with your Microsoft account and allow access.
  5. When Dvina says the app is connected, you're done.

To add a second account, like a personal one next to your work account, go to Settings › Apps, choose Microsoft Outlook, then choose Add Account…. Use Rename to name each account and Make Default to pick the one Dvina uses first.

Tip

To choose which changes Dvina tells you about, open Microsoft Outlook in Apps and choose Notifications. To stop Dvina from noticing what happens there, turn off Dvina notices what happens in Microsoft Outlook on the same page.

Privacy

  • What you connect is never used to train AI models.
  • Only what your request needs is read.
  • Personal details like card and phone numbers are masked before the AI sees them.
  • Your data is encrypted in transit.

Disconnect

  1. Open Apps in your Library and choose Microsoft Outlook.
  2. Choose Disconnect Microsoft Outlook, then choose Disconnect to confirm.

Dvina stops reading from Outlook. What it already brought in stays, and you can connect it again any time. To disconnect one account and keep the others, go to Settings › Apps, choose Microsoft Outlook, and choose Disconnect from that account's menu.
