Your Library keeps everything in one place: the files you add, the images and recordings you bring, what Dvina makes for you, and the apps, databases and projects you connect. Open it from the Dock.

How it works

Click the Dock, then choose Library. When it has something in it, the row says how much, like 24 in Library. Below it, the Dock shows your Recent activity, so you can open what was just added or updated.

The Library opens on your Feed. Open the menu at the top to choose what it shows:

  • A kind: All, Docs, Media, Artifacts, Apps, Databases, Projects, Agents or Skills.
  • Whose: Mine for your own items, or Shared with me for what other people shared with you.
  • Recently Deleted: What you deleted, to restore it.

Along with your files, the Library keeps your insights: answers from your data, like a chart or a table, saved so they keep updating. You find them in All. To learn how to make one, see Databases.

Beside the menu, Context shows what Dvina knows about your projects, people and plans.

To find something, type in the search field. To change the order, open the More menu (···) and choose Name, Kind or Date. Choose Date again to switch between Newest to Oldest and Oldest to Newest.

Docs and folders

Docs shows your documents, Canvas pages and folders, folders first.

Add files

  • Upload: Click Add Context, then Upload, and choose files. They go into the folder you have open.
  • Drag and drop: Drop files anywhere in Dvina. You see Drop to add to your Library. Dropped files go into the open folder and join your message too. A dropped folder keeps its folders inside.

While Dvina reads a new file, its card says Reading…. If it says Couldn't read, click Try Again. If Dvina can't read a type of file, it tells you and leaves that file out.

Images, video and audio always go to Media, whatever folder is open.

Organize with folders

  1. Click Add Context, then Folder. A folder named New Folder appears in the folder you have open.
  2. Type its name.

To move a file or a folder, drag it onto another folder. To move it up a level, drag it onto Parent Folder.

Raw or refined columns

When you open a spreadsheet or another file with a table, Dvina shows its first rows under Preview. Choose Refined to see the column names Dvina cleaned up, or Raw to see them as they are in the file.

Media and Artifacts

  • Media holds your images, video and audio.
  • Artifacts holds what Dvina made for you, like pages, dashboards and apps, and the Canvas pages it wrote in a chat.

Right-click any card (touch and hold on a phone) for its menu, like Open, Rename, Share…, Download and Delete. What the menu offers depends on the item.

Act on several items

  1. Open the More menu (···) and choose Select.
  2. Click the items you want, or choose Select All.
  3. Choose an action:
    • Add to chat: Puts the items in your message, so you can ask Dvina about them.
    • Download: Saves them to your device. Several files download as one file.
    • Delete: Moves them to Recently Deleted. To bring them back right away, choose Undo.
  4. Choose Done.

When you select connected apps, Dvina asks before it disconnects them, and you can connect them again from Apps. In Shared with me, Remove from Feed takes an item off your Feed without changing it for anyone else.

Tip

With several items selected, right-click one of them. The menu acts on all of them.

Restore what you deleted

Items you delete stay in Recently Deleted for 30 days, then they're permanently deleted. Each one shows the day you deleted it.

  1. Open the menu at the top of your Feed and choose Recently Deleted.
  2. Right-click an item (touch and hold on a phone) and choose Restore. To restore several, choose Select, pick them, then Restore.

The item goes back to its folder. If that folder is gone, it goes back to the top level of your Library.

When to use

  • You want to find the report Dvina wrote last month, or a photo you added to a chat.
  • You want to tidy files into folders for a project.
  • You deleted something by mistake and want it back.

Tips

  • Ask about your files. Select a few documents and choose Add to chat, then ask your question.
  • See what was shared with you. Choose Shared with me to see everything sent to you, with who sent it.
  • Start from an empty Library. When All is empty, it suggests ways to begin, like Add a document or Connect an app.
