Dvina is one chat on every device you use: iPhone and iPad, Android, Mac, Windows and Linux, any browser, Apple Watch and Wear OS. Ask on whatever's in reach, and pick up where you left off on the next one.

How it works

Everything you send shows up on every device: your chats, tasks, files and memory. A message you haven't sent yet stays on the device you typed it on.

Answers follow you, too. Ask on your Mac, close the lid mid-answer, and your iPhone opens on the same reply, still writing.

Work on your computer from any device

Point a chat at your Mac or PC once. From then on, you can ask from your phone, your watch or the web, and the work happens on your computer, in your own files.

  1. Open the Dock and choose the row marked Device.
  2. Choose your computer. In the desktop app, the computer you're on is This device.

On the web, before you've set up a computer, the row reads Connect Desktop and offers the desktop app to download. In the desktop app, a chat without a computer uses the one it's on. To stop using a computer for a chat, choose it again.

Note

Your computer needs to be awake, online, with Dvina open. If it isn't, Dvina tells you, and its own browser and computer still work.

You can also ask about a file you left behind. Ask your phone what's in the contract on your desktop, and Dvina reads it on your computer and answers.

Use Dvina on your watch

The watch apps work with your phone: Apple Watch with the iPhone app, and Wear OS with the Android app. Your phone signs the watch in.

  • Ask: Tap Ask Dvina and speak. The answer appears on your wrist. With your computer connected, the work runs there.
  • Answer a card: What Dvina noticed lands on your wrist. Tap Prepare it? to have Dvina prepare the rest, or Later.
  • Approve: When work needs your yes, it reaches your watch. One tap, and your computer carries on.

A card looks and works the same on Apple Watch and Wear OS. Answer it on one device, and it's answered everywhere.

On your Home Screen, Lock Screen and watch face

See your day and Dvina's work without opening the app. Tap a meeting, a task or a card to open it in Dvina. If you're signed out, the widgets say Sign in to Dvina to see your day.

Widgets

iPhone

Touch and hold the Home Screen, choose Edit, then Add Widget, and find Dvina.

  • Home Screen and StandBy, in three sizes:
    • Small: the one most pressing thing. That's the countdown to your next meeting, else the task under way, else what Dvina noticed, else Ask Dvina.
    • Medium: what Dvina noticed, with Prepare it? and Later. Without a card, your next meeting and your first task.
    • Large: Today, with your next meeting, your tasks, what Dvina noticed and Ask Dvina.
  • Lock Screen:
    • Round: the ring of the task under way, else the countdown to your next meeting.
    • Rectangular: your next meeting's countdown, else the task under way, else what Dvina noticed.
    • Inline: your next meeting with its countdown, else the task under way.

Android

Touch and hold the home screen, choose Widgets, and find Dvina. Dvina has one widget that you can resize, and it shows more as it grows:

  • Wider: Today, with your next meeting, your tasks and what Dvina noticed.
  • Taller: your tasks in full, what Dvina noticed with Prepare it? and Later, and Ask Dvina.

A meeting stays on the widgets until 10 minutes after it starts. Prepare it? and Later work right on the widget, without opening Dvina.

When to use

  • You start something at your desk and want to finish it on the train.
  • You're away from your computer and want work done in its files.
  • Your hands are full, and your watch is the only screen in reach.

Tips

  • See where you're signed in. Go to Settings › Account and look under Signed-In Devices. To sign a device out, choose Sign Out beside it.
  • The same privacy everywhere. Masking happens before the AI sees anything, whichever device you ask from. Reading a file on your computer asks first.
