See something worth remembering, like a line in a contractor's quote, a clause in a lease or a recipe? Keep it, and Dvina keeps it in mind for you. You can find it again anytime, ask about it, and Dvina can bring it back when it matters.
How it works
- What you keep is words, a picture or a link. Dvina keeps it with where it came from, like the chat or the app.
- Everything you keep shows in Kept in your Feed, and Dvina finds it when you ask.
- What you keep becomes part of what Dvina knows about your life, so it can bring it back at the right moment. Keeping something never sends you an alert by itself.
- Only you see what you keep.
Keep something in a chat
You can keep from your chat with Dvina and from a task's chat.
- Words: Select the words in a message, then choose Keep. The words stay marked in the message, so you can see what you kept.
- A whole message or a picture: Right-click the message or picture (touch and hold on a phone), then choose Keep.
Kept in mind appears for a moment. To take it back right away, choose Undo.
Tip
To ask about the words instead, select them and choose Ask. They go into your message as a quote, so you can type your question.
Keep something in a document
- Open the document and select the words you want to keep.
- Choose Keep.
To keep a picture in the document, right-click it (touch and hold on a phone), then choose Keep. The words you kept stay marked in the document. Click a mark to Ask about it or Forget it.
If the document changes later, what you kept stays as it was. Its card in Kept says From an earlier version and opens that version.
Keep something from another app
iPhone
- In any app, like Safari, Photos or Notes, select the words or open the picture or page.
- Tap the share button, then tap Keep in Mind.
Nothing opens: Kept in mind appears with Undo, then goes away by itself. If you aren't signed in to Dvina on your iPhone, Dvina opens so you can sign in.
Dvina in the share sheet still opens a chat with what you shared. Keep in Mind only keeps it.
Android
- In any app, select the words or open the picture or page.
- Tap Share, then tap Keep in Mind.
Nothing opens: Kept in mind appears with Undo, then goes away by itself.
Dvina in the share menu still opens a chat with what you shared. Keep in Mind only keeps it.

Find what you kept
- Open the Dock and choose Library.
- Open the menu at the top of your Feed and choose Kept.
Words show as quotes and pictures as they are, each with where and when you kept it. Click one to open it where you kept it, like the message in its chat. Something you kept from another app opens its page or picture.
You can also just ask, in your own words: "What was the allowance in the cabinet quote I kept?" Dvina finds it in what you kept and shows where it came from.
Use something you kept in a chat
- In the message field, type /.
- Under Kept, choose what you want Dvina to use. To find something older, type a few of its words.
It's added to your message, so Dvina answers with it in mind. You can also open an item's menu in Kept and choose Use in chat.
Forget something
- In a chat: Select the marked words and choose Forget, or right-click the message (touch and hold on a phone) and choose Forget.
- In a document: Click the marked words, then choose Forget.
- In Kept: Open an item's menu and choose Forget, or select several and delete them.
Forgotten appears for a moment; choose Undo to bring it back. What you forget moves to Recently Deleted, where it stays for 30 days, then it's permanently deleted. To restore it before then, open the menu at the top of your Feed, choose Recently Deleted, then choose Restore. See Library and Feed.
How it helps Dvina help you
What you keep tells Dvina what matters to you. It becomes part of what Dvina knows, alongside your chats, files and apps, and Dvina connects it with what happens later.
For example, you keep the line "Bright & Co. includes permits" from a contractor's quote. Weeks later, their invoice arrives with $1,200 for permits. Dvina notices and tells you, with a reply ready to send.
Dvina brings something back only when it truly helps. To learn more, see Proactive and Feed.
Your taste, in what Dvina makes
The pictures you keep, like a kitchen you love or a poster's colors, show Dvina your taste. When Dvina makes an image, a canvas or a board for you, it follows that taste and can use the kept pictures closest to what you asked as references. It tells you which kept pictures it leaned on.
To leave a picture out, forget it. Dvina stops using it right away.
Keep from other apps with MCP
Apps you connect to Dvina with MCP, and the dvina command, can keep words or a link for you, list what you kept and, with your approval, forget something. See Keep in Mind tools.
Privacy
- Only you see what you keep. Keeping words in a shared chat or document doesn't show them to anyone else or tell anyone.
- Your company's rules apply. What you keep goes through your workspace's data protection rules, as in the rest of Dvina. If a rule doesn't allow it, it isn't kept, and Dvina says why.
- Forgetting is up to you. Forget anything anytime. It stays in Recently Deleted for 30 days, then it's permanently deleted, and Dvina no longer uses it.
- Clearing memory keeps what you kept. Forget Everything in Settings › Memory clears what Dvina remembers about you, including what it learned about your taste. The things you kept stay in Kept until you forget them.
