Each agent has its own permissions. They decide what it may use and how it acts, wherever it works: in a chat, in a task or on a schedule.

Choose what it can use

  1. Open the agent and go to Permissions.
  2. Next to Can use, choose All apps, or choose only the ones it needs: Web, Your computer, and each app and server you connected.

When you choose only some, the agent uses nothing else. If you choose none, the menu reads Only Dvina, and the agent uses none of your apps.

สำคัญ

If you leave Web out, the agent has no internet at all: it can't search, browse or reach the web from code. Code it runs can't download or install anything either. When a job needs the internet, the agent says so instead of guessing.

Choose how it acts

Under Can use, there's one rule for each kind of action: Make changes, Send, share & pay and Delete. Choose a rule for each:

  • Ask every time: It asks you before it acts. This is where every agent starts.
  • Allow for this agent: It creates and edits your things without asking. Only Make changes offers this.
  • Hand back to me: It never does it. It prepares the work and hands it back to you.

Sending, paying and deleting always ask, or are handed back.

Allow an action from a card

When an agent asks with an approval card, the card can offer Always allow for and the agent's name. Choose it, and from then on the agent does that action without asking. It isn't offered for steps in a browser or on a computer.

To take these back, go to Permissions, find Always allowed from approvals, and choose Ask again.

When several agents work together

If you choose more than one agent for a chat, the strictest rule of each kind wins, and they use only the apps every one of them may use.

Shared agents

Only an agent's owner changes its permissions. Everyone the agent is shared with sees them, and they hold for everyone who uses it.

When someone else uses an agent you shared, Allow for this agent and the actions you allowed from cards stay yours: they're asked, as they would be anywhere. See Share an agent.

Company rules

On Enterprise, admins can turn off Agents act on their own in Settings › Policies. Then every agent asks before it acts, and the agent's panel says: Your Livespace's admins require approval for every agent action.

Tips

  • Start with Ask every time. Once you trust what the agent does, switch Make changes to Allow for this agent.
  • Limit it to the job. An invoice agent may only need your mail and your accounting app.
  • Use Hand back to me for drafts. Set Send, share & pay to Hand back to me, and the agent prepares every message for you to send yourself.
