Make an agent for a job you do often, then tell it in plain words what to do. You can start from an empty agent or from a ready-made template.

Make an agent

  1. Open your Feed from the Dock and choose Add Context.
  2. Choose Agent. A new agent opens beside the chat, with its name ready to type.
  3. Type a name, like "Invoice filer".
  4. To change its emoji, choose the emoji next to the name.
  5. Write the instruction. See Write the instruction.

The agent is saved as you go, and it shows up in your Feed under Agents.

Start from a template

Templates are ready-made agents for common jobs at work and at home, like Contract Reviewer, Meeting Notes → Action Items, Invoice Chaser, Weekly Dinners and Travel Planner.

  1. Open your Feed from the Dock and choose Add Context, then Agent from Template. You can also choose Agents in your Feed: templates are the faded cards.
  2. Choose a template to see what it does. Its panel shows What it does, Runs, What you get, the apps it Works with and its full Instruction.
  3. Choose Add.

You get your own copy, in your language, with the template's name, emoji and instruction. Nothing links it to the template afterward, so change anything you like. You don't need the apps under Works with to add it.

ማስታወሻ

Runs tells you when a template is meant to run, like Every Monday morning. Adding the template doesn't set up a schedule. To run it on its own, add one under Runs in the agent's panel. See Schedules.

Write the instruction

The instruction is what the agent does, in your own words. A good one says the job, what to check each time, what to hand back and any rules, like "Never contact anyone without my approval."

  • Name a file, a folder or an app: Type / or choose Add resource (+), then pick it. It shows as a chip in the text.
  • Add a website: Choose Add website, paste the address, then choose Insert website.
  • Add a file from your computer: Paste it into the instruction. It's added to your Library first.

To let Dvina improve what you wrote, choose Refine. Dvina rewrites the instruction and shows the new version. Choose Accept to keep it, or Keep current to leave yours as it was.

Rename or delete an agent

  • Rename: Click the name at the top of the panel and type a new one. You can also choose Rename in the panel's menu.
  • Delete: In the panel's menu, choose Delete, then confirm. Deleting can't be undone. Only the agent's owner can delete it.

Tips

  • Start small. Write a few lines, use the agent once, then choose Refine or add what was missing.
  • Ask once, remember. Templates often ask a few questions on first use, like your city or your side of a contract, then remember the answers for next time.
  • Keep the job narrow. An agent with one clear job does it better than one that does everything.
