Dvina lets you know when something needs you or is ready for you: a reply, a finished task, an approval, something it noticed. You choose which of these reach you, on which device, and the hours they keep quiet.

Open Settings and choose Notifications.

Turn on notifications on this device

At the top of Notifications, the group is named for the device you're using, like On This iPhone, On This Mac or In This Browser. Each device has its own switch, so you can get notifications on your phone and not on your computer, or the other way around.

Mac

  1. Under On This Mac, turn on Allow notifications.
  2. To check it works, next to Test notification, click Send.

Windows

  1. Under On This Computer, turn on Allow notifications.
  2. To check it works, next to Test notification, click Send.

Linux

  1. Under On This Computer, turn on Allow notifications.
  2. To check it works, next to Test notification, click Send.

iPhone

  1. Under On This iPhone, turn on Allow notifications.
  2. When your iPhone asks, allow notifications for Dvina.
  3. To check it works, next to Test notification, tap Send.

Android

  1. Under On This Phone, turn on Allow notifications.
  2. When your phone asks, allow notifications for Dvina.
  3. To check it works, next to Test notification, tap Send.

Web

  1. Under In This Browser, turn on Allow notifications.
  2. When your browser asks, allow notifications for Dvina.
  3. To check it works, next to Test notification, click Send.

If your browser can't show notifications, the row says This browser cannot show notifications.

If you turned notifications off for Dvina in your system or browser, the row says Notifications are blocked for Dvina. Allow them in your browser or system settings. Where your device lets Dvina open them, choose Open System Settings, allow notifications for Dvina, then come back.

Choose what Dvina tells you about

Below the device, every kind of notification has its own row, in groups:

Group Notifications
Threads and Tasks Replies, Approvals, Questions, Tasks, Scheduled messages
Your Context Proactive findings, Pulse, Databases, Documents and imports
Summaries Weekly summary, Monthly summary
Sharing Shared with you
Account Usage, Invitations, Billing, Model health

Turn a row off, and Dvina stops sending that kind of notification. Your choices are kept for your account.

Some rows say Always on: Approvals, Questions, Billing and Model health. They need an answer from you before work can go on, so you can't turn them off.

Choose where a summary goes

A summary can come as a notification, by email, or both. Next to the summary, choose Push and email, Push, Email or Off.

Get a notification when a task is done

When a task is running, Dvina may offer Notify me when it's done. Choose it, allow notifications when your phone or browser asks, and Dvina lets you know when the task finishes.

Dvina offers this once on each phone or browser, while its notifications are off and you haven't been asked yet. In the desktop app, turn on Allow notifications instead.

Answer from the notification

On iPhone and Android, you can act on many notifications without opening Dvina, even when the app is closed. The notification shows buttons for what you can do:

  • Approvals: Choose Allow, Always allow or Reject.
  • Questions: Choose Reply, type in Your answer, then send it.
  • Proactive findings: Choose Prepare it to have Dvina start the work, or Later.
  • Pulse: Choose Clear to tell Dvina it mattered less.

The notification then says how it went, like Allowed, Declined or Sent. If you already answered on another device, it says Already handled. If an answer can't be sent, it says Couldn't send. Tap to finish in Dvina.

Qeyd

On iPhone, unlock it to approve from a notification.

Set quiet hours

  1. Under Quiet Hours, turn on Quiet hours. They start out from 10:00 PM to 8:00 AM.
  2. Next to Every day, choose From and Until.

Approvals and questions still come through.

To choose how often Dvina speaks up in the first place, see Proactive and Feed.

Tips

  • Too many on your computer? Turn off Allow notifications on that device only. Your phone keeps getting them.
  • Find a row fast. Search Settings for "quiet hours" or "allow notifications" to jump straight to the row.
