# Agents and Proactive

> Dvina notices work you repeat and offers to make it an agent, and when an agent's job comes up, it offers to run it or runs it for you.

You don't have to plan your agents ahead. Dvina notices the work you ask for again and again, and offers to turn it into an agent. Once you have agents, Dvina knows their jobs and brings the right one when it's needed.

## Make an agent from a card

When you've asked Dvina for the same kind of work several times lately, a card in your chat can offer to make it an agent.

1. On the card, choose **Make an agent**.
2. The new agent opens beside the chat, with its name ready to type. Its instruction is written from what you asked before, under **Writing the instruction…**.
3. Read the instruction and change anything you like. It's saved as you go.

If the instruction couldn't be written, choose **Try again**.

## Change an agent from a card

When one of your agents nearly does the job you keep asking for, the card offers **Change agent** instead.

1. Choose **Change agent**. The agent opens with the change Dvina suggests, ready to review.
2. Choose **Accept** to keep the new instruction, or **Keep current** to leave it as it was.

## Run an agent from a card

When something happens that's one of your agents' jobs, like a meeting that just ended for an agent that writes up action items, the card offers **Run agent**. Choose it, and the agent does the work.

Like every proactive card, you can also choose **Later**, or open the **More** menu (**···**) and choose **Not useful**.

## Choose what Dvina does with an agent

For each of your agents, choose how Dvina may use it when its job comes up:

1. Open the agent and go to **Proactive**.
2. Choose one:
    - **Ask first:** Dvina offers it with a card.
    - **Run it:** Dvina runs it for you and brings you the result.
    - **Off:** Dvina leaves it be.

Anything the agent would send or change still waits for your approval.

Proactive offers and runs only your own agents, never ones shared with you. Only the agent's owner sees this section.

## Turn agent suggestions on or off

1. Open Settings and choose **Proactive**.
2. Under **What Dvina Watches For**, turn **Agent suggestions** on or off.

## Tips

- **Say yes, then refine.** An agent made from a card is a start. Open it, add its **Knowledge**, and choose **Refine**.
- **Let routine jobs run.** For an agent you trust, like one that turns meeting notes into action items, choose **Run it**.
