# Linear

> Connect Linear so Dvina can read your issues and projects, tell you what changed, and update work only with your approval.

Connect Linear to stay on top of project work without losing context. Dvina reads your issues and projects, answers questions about them and tells you when something changes, like a new comment.

## What Dvina can do

- Review your issues, projects and cycles, and answer questions about them.
- Summarize what changed, like "Summarize today's Linear" or "What needs me in Linear?"
- Tell you when something in Linear matters, with one short card that says why.
- Create and update issues and track progress, after you approve it.

Because Dvina sees Linear next to your other apps, one question can cover all of them. Ask "What's blocking Friday's build?" and Dvina reads your issues, your pull requests and the team chat, and gives you one answer, like two blockers in Linear and the fix that's in review.

## Permissions

Dvina reads Linear freely, so it can answer and prepare work. Anything that changes something waits for you:

- **Reading:** Reading your issues and projects runs without asking.
- **Writing:** Creating or changing something, like an issue or a comment, shows an approval card first. You choose **Allow** or **Reject**.
- **Deleting:** Deleting something for good asks every time. Its card says **Deletes for good, asks every time** and doesn't offer **Always allow**.

If you connected more than one Linear account, the approval card shows which one Dvina uses.

> [!IMPORTANT]
> Nothing changes in Linear until you choose **Allow**.

## How to connect

1. Open Settings and choose **Apps**.
2. Choose **Browse Apps…**, then find **Linear**.
3. Choose **Connect**.
4. Sign in to Linear and allow access.
5. When Dvina says the app is connected, you're done.

To add another Linear account, go to Settings › **Apps**, choose **Linear**, then choose **Add Account…**. Use **Rename** to name each one and **Make Default** to pick the one Dvina uses first.

> [!TIP]
> To choose which Linear changes Dvina tells you about, open **Linear** in **Apps** and choose **Notifications**. To stop Dvina from noticing what happens there, turn off **Dvina notices what happens in Linear** on the same page.

## Privacy

- What you connect is never used to train AI models.
- Only what your request needs is read.
- Personal details like card and phone numbers are masked before the AI sees them.
- Your data is encrypted in transit.

## Disconnect

1. Open **Apps** in your Library and choose **Linear**.
2. Choose **Disconnect Linear**, then choose **Disconnect** to confirm.

Dvina stops reading from Linear. What it already brought in stays, and you can connect it again any time.
